St. Helena ACCOUNTANTS ON THE MOVE

St. Helena, CA — August 23, 2010 Brotemarkle Davis & Co., LLP (BDCo), an accounting and advisory firm focused on customers in the wine and hospitality industries, today announced their plans to relocate from 1001 Adams Street to  the Wine Business Center at 899 Adams Street. With demolition complete and renovation currently underway, the firm plans to relocate by the end of the year. The move is a tangible sign of the firm’s commitment to its customers, employees, and the Napa Valley and the opportunities that lie ahead.

Partner Craig Underhill explains the move this way “We have decided to move to a new location that better supports our underlying motivation as accountants-- to collaborate, educate, and listen. The new space will be open and light with expanded training and meeting space.” Plans call for fewer walls and more windows to better support the sharing of ideas and the work style of next generation accountants.

Since 2000, the firm has been on a journey to offer customers the kind of proactive assistance and clear communication that turns financial statements into planning tools and gives meaning to numbers. A big part of that journey involves training and education for customers. Ironically, since 2003, BDCo has hosted their Education Center classes through sponsor Silicon Valley Bank at a classroom in the very building that is to be their new home.

David Brotemarkle, managing partner says, “This new space will inspire our team to think beyond traditional boundaries in helping our customers improve the quality of their lives. This is the next step in contributing to the sustainability of the wine and hospitality industries here in the Napa Valley."
